The Gamma Sigma Charitable and Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that works to build upon and reinforce Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.’s legacy of “Greater Service . . . Greater Progress” through various community outreach programs and support for those in need all the while enhancing educational opportunities through scholarship awards for talented young people who demonstrate, through academic excellence and leadership in their communities, their capacity for and commitment to making a difference in today’s society.

Some of the Gamma Sigma Charitable and Educational Foundation programs include: Project Wee Savers, a program that teaches young people about the importance of personal finance and helps them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for becoming financially secure adults, Sigma Youth Symposium, a forum for youth, educators and professionals to talk with one another about ways to tackle issues of drugs, teen violence, suicide, pregnancies, etc. and Project Reassurance, workshops, fund donations of basic items that assist pregnant teens and educate teen mothers.
